Time makes the heart grow fonder, it galvanises in us a need, a spark that mundanity has fizzled out. When geography and the calendar conspires to keep loved ones apart, all it ultimately accomplishes is to fasten that unbreakable, everlasting bond.

After a while, despite the harrowing passage of time and the torturous wait, the homecoming is nothing short of spectacular. There is nothing sweeter than watching a cherished loved one stumble into your embrace and know, without a shadow of a doubt, that the fire never ebbed.... Zinedine Zidane has stepped down as Real Madrid manager following a brief spell of unprecedented success as a first-time coach.

The Frenchman, a World Cup and Champions League winner as a player, took over from Rafael Benitez mid-season in January 2016 and steered Madrid back on course to win their 11th European Cup.

But nobody could have predicted that Zidane would complete the feat of defending that trophy last season, also adding La Liga to net an impressive double.

Last weekend in Kiev, Zidane helped Madrid become the first team in 40 years to win three consecutive European Cups and the first in the Champions League era, marking him out as one of club football’s most successful coaches less than three years into his managerial career.

And yet the 45-year-old former Ballon d’Or winner announced on Thursday morning in a surprise press conference at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground that he would not be continuing as the club’s manager.go to next page to continue reading ...

“I spoke to him to explain a little what I was thinking at the moment. First for me, the squad, the club I think it’s a bit of a weird moment but an important one that is good for everyone. What I think is that this team needs to continue winning but I think it needs a change, a different voice, another methodology and that’s why I took this decision.
“I love this club and the president who gave me the chance to play for this club and manage the club of my dreams. But everything changes and that’s why I’ve taken the decision to leave.”

The club president Florentino Perez said: “This was a totally unexpected decision and today is a sad day for me and for everyone who works for this club. When he says he’s taken a decision though, we have to accept it.

“I tried to convince him but I know how it is. He knows he has all our love and support. One can’t be prepared for something like this. I remember the first time I went to his house and asked him to coach Real Madrid and he was absolutely convinced he could win things.
“We must thank him for his care and passion for Real Madrid over these years. The only thing I want to say is ‘hasta pronto’ because I know he will return, maybe after a rest.”
Zidane added: “There are really beautiful moments, ending in a spectacular moment winning the third Champions League, but there are hard moments too. I think it’s the right time. I think the players need a change but I should thank them because at the end of the day it’s them that fight out there and this is a club of very high expectations.
“We always want more and more, I couldn’t ask for more from these players but now is the time for them to have a different voice in the changing room. The squad already knows. I’ve not talked to them all individually but they all know, by message, yes. I spoke with the captains and with Sergio Ramos. The players have nothing to do with my decision.”

Samsung's phones have always been feature-rich, both in hardware and software. Especially when we are talking about the Note series — a niche device for the power users who always want the biggest, baddest, and best in mobile hardware. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is no exception, decked out to the brim with biometric scanners, curved Edge screen, and the Samsung Experience UI, which is so full of options that a newcomer can easily get dizzy.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is Samsung's flagship phone. With every single bit of technology crammed into it, it's clearly Samsung's most advanced phone. If you're an Android user who likes big phones, this is likely the phone for you. Let's take a look at the features that will make you a power user in no time...go to next page to continue reading..

Make the Samsung Edge Your Secret Weapon

Use the Samsung Edge to access frequently used apps and capabilities.

The Edge Panel is a combination of glass that curves down the side of the phone in addition to software specific to that region of glass. Get more from this feature by adjusting its setting to the way you want to use the phone.

   1. Customize Your Edge Lighting: To have the edge of your screen light up when you get notifications, go into Settings and select Display. Tap Edge screen then toggle on Edge lighting. Tap Edge lighting to customize app notifications, lighting settings, including display size and color.

2.Do More with Edge Panels: If you find you have apps that you frequently use, you can keep them listed in the Edge Panel. To customize, slide out the Edge Handle then tap the Settings icon. Then you can select from pre-created Edge Panels. To change the order of those panels, tap the three dots in the upper right corner and select Reorder. To download new Edge Panels, tap the blue Download link in the upper right corner.

3.Customize Your Edge Handle: The default version of the Edge Handle is small, transparent handle on the right edge of the screen. To change the appearance, location, and behavior of the handle, tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the Edge Panels settings page and select Handle settings.

Meet Your Personal Assistant: Bixby

Bixby is the Samsung voice assistant that can help you access all kinds of device features. To wake the Bixby assistant, press and hold the Bixby key on the left side of your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or go into the Bixby settings to enable the wake words ("Hi Bixby").

1.Bixby Voice Controls: Ask Bixby to open compatible applications or to take you to device settings. After waking the assistant, just say "Open" and the name of the app you want to open, you can also tell it to take you to specific device settings or to turn features (like flashlight, notifications, or phone volume) on or off.

2. Bixby Vision: Bixby Vision is an easy way to perform an image search, translate text, or find a nearby restaurant. Point your camera at an option and activate your Bixby assistant then say "Open Bixby Vision and tell me what this is." The assistant will walk you through an image search. You can also use Bixby Vision directly from your camera app to translate or capture text.

3. Dictate Text with Bixby: Open a note taking app and then activate Bixby. Say "Dictate" and then what you would like to have dictated. Bixby will turn your voice to text.

4.Post to Social Media: Activate Bixby and say, "Post my last photo to," and then say the name of the social media you want to use. Bixby opens the app and starts the post. You add a caption and tap the Share button.

Hack Your Galaxy Note 8 Usability

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a large phone and can be difficult to use one-handed, but these tips help solve that problem.

1.Turn on the Assistant Menu: The assistant menu is a small menu that's easier to access when you're using one hand to navigate your phone. To enable it, go to Settings and tap Accessibility. Then choose Dexterity and interaction and toggle on the Assistant menu. With it on, tap Assistant menu to change and reorder options and add capabilities to the menu.

2.Turn On One-Handed Mode: An alternative to the Assistant Menu is to turn on One-Handed Mode to create a smaller, more accessible screen. To turn on this feature, go into Settings, tap Advanced features, and toggle on One-handed mode. Then, when you need to quickly access One-handed mode, just swipe up from the corner to reduce your screen size.  When you're finished, tap outside the reduced display area to go back to full screen.

3.Easy Open Notification Panel: Open the Notification Panel, also called a window shade, using your finger print scanner. To enable this feature, open Settings and tap Advanced Features. Toggle on Finger sensor gestures, then you can slide your fingertip over the finger sensor on the back of the Galaxy Note 8 to open and close your Notifications Panel.

4.Hide the Navigation Bar: The navigation bar at the bottom of your phone screen contains Home, Back, and Open Apps buttons. On some screens you can hide this navigation bar to regain screen real estate by double tapping the small dot on the far left side of the navigation bar. Then, if you need the navigation bar again, just slide your finger up from the bottom. You can re-pin the navigation bar in place by double tapping the dot again.

Hack your Galaxy Display to Reflect Your Style

Just like a home isn't really yours until you arrange the furniture for the way you live, your electronic device isn't truly yours until you set it up the way you like to use it. And don't think you can only customize the wallpaper, either.

1.Easily Move Multiple Icons: To move multiple icons, press and hold one until the Icon menu appears. Then tap Select multiple items and select all the icons you want to move. (Hint: You can also directly uninstall apps from that icon menu.)

2.Customize the Always On Display (AOD): The AOD is the screen that shows when your phone is at rest. You can enable and customize this screen by going to Settings and then tap Lock screen and security. Then you can toggle the AOD on or off, or tap Always On Display to change the content that shows on the screen. To download new AOD displays, tap the three buttons in the upper right corner and tap Go to Samsung Themes. From there, you can download new screens or switch between screen designs you've already downloaded.

Take Photos Like a Pro

The Samsung Note 8 includes two 12 megapixel cameras that you can customize.

1.Open the Camera in a Flash: When enabled, you can quickly open your camera by pressing the power button two times quickly. To enable this feature, go to Settings, tap Advanced Features, and toggle on Quick Camera Launch.

2.Use Live Focus for Background Blur: Tap the Live Focus option and then drag the slider to blur your background for photos that emphasize the subject.

3.Take Multiple Shots at Once: Want to take pictures of fast action? Press and hold the shutter button on your camera to take as many shots as you like in fast succession.

4.Turn on the Floating Camera Button: Taking pictures one-handed can be tricky, but with the Samsung camera, you can turn on a floating camera button that allows you to move the shutter button around the screen for ease of access. From the camera, tap the Settings icon, then toggle on Floating Camera button. Back in the camera, you can now drag the shutter button around the screen so it's easily accessible, no matter how you hold the phone.

5.Get Creative with Stickers: The Samsung camera comes loaded with Snapchat-like stickers that allow you to take some phone pictures. To enable these stickers, tap Stickers from within the camera app. Tap the + within the Stickers feature to add new ones.
Gaming notebooks are getting better and better with each new generation, getting real close to the performance you’d expect from a gaming PC with a similar configuration. However, not all gaming notebooks are made equally. Just throwing in a Nvidia 10-series graphics card into the mix doesn’t really guarantee great performance. Take the Acer Nitro 5 Spin for instance, which includes all the hardware you’d expect in an entry-level gaming notebook, but fails to deliver on the performance due to thermal throttling.
OEMs who focus on gaming have to take into account a number of other variables which contribute towards the overall performance of a gaming notebook. They have to invest a lot of time and effort in R&D to ensure that the notebook is able to make full use of the included hardware, without facing any untimely snags whatsoever. Taiwan-based MSI is one such manufacturer that pays close attention to all the details and the company’s efforts are clearly reflected in the MSI GE73 Raider 8RF (Rs. 1,79,990), which I’ve been testing for the past week.

Vivo has just launched the Vivo X21 in India and there’s a lot of hype around it and well, rightly so, it’s the first smartphone to go on sale with an under screen fingerprint scanner. Yes, it’s definitely innovative but it’s sporting a price tag of ₹35,990, which pits it against the likes of OnePlus 6 and the Honor 10. So, the question is, does the Vivo X21 justify its price tag? How does the under-screen fingerprint scanner tech work in day to day usage? Well, we have been using the Vivo X21 for more than a week now, so here is our Vivo X21 review:

It’s common practice for smartphone manufacturers to eventually introduce their flagship features to mid-range and budget devices, Samsung being no exception. The company’s beautiful Infinity Edge displays debuted with its flagship Galaxy S8 duo and have now made their way to the mid-range Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6 Plus, as well as the budget Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8, all of which were launched in India just a week ago. Out of the lot, the Galaxy A6+ or A6 Plus is the most premium device and is priced at Rs. 25,990.

Up front, the Galaxy A6 Plus checks off all the boxes for a great smartphone in 2018; it has a great looking Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, a dual rear camera setup, face recognition capabilities, and a metal unibody design. On the inside, however, the device features a Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is more befitting for a smartphone in the sub Rs. 15,000 category. Samsung’s brand new flagship smartphones – the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus – are enjoying a lot of attention, with pre-orders and sales skyrocketing, and almost everyone giving them highly positive reviews. The smartphones bring a ton of great features, and while a lot of them are fairly obvious, there are some hidden features and tricks that aren’t that obvious. So, if you have bought (or are planning to buy) the Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus and want to know about the great but hidden features they offer, here are 15 Galaxy S8 tricks and hidden features you should know about: -- go to next page to continue reading ---

1. Remap Bixby Button

The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus come with Samsung’s very own take at AI assistants designed to make your life easy. However, in its current state, Bixby isn’t very useful, which makes the dedicated hardware button kinda pointless. Fortunately, with the help of an app called BixBye (free) the Bixby button can be easily remapped to launch anything you want it to. You can read more about BixBye, and learn how to use it from our article on remapping the Bixby button on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

2. Use Separate App Sounds

If you like listening to music on your Bluetooth speakers at full blast, chances are you’d not want an incoming call, or text message to blast its sound through your Bluetooth speakers. But that’s how it has always been… until now. With the S8 and S8 Plus, Samsung offers what’s called “Separate App Sounds”. The feature allows you to make your smartphone play sounds for specific apps through a specific output only, and all the other sounds are played through the device.

You can find and enable this feature by going to “Settings -> Sounds and Vibration“, and then “Separate App Sounds“.

  • Here, you can simply enable the toggle, and then choose what apps should play their sounds through which audio output.

3. Pin Anything to the Always On Display

The Always on Display on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is really great, and while I would’ve preferred that notifications didn’t turn into small circular icons, there are things about the Always on Display that are really great. One such feature allows users to pin almost anything they want to the Always on Display. This could be an image, or a note taken in Google Keep, etc. You can even pin YouTube videos to the Always on Display, but they only show up as the URL. To pin, for example, a note to the Always on Display, you can just follow the steps given below:

Launch Google Keep, and select the note you want to pin. Then, tap on the three dot menu button on the top-right, and tap on “Send“.

  • From the screen that slides up, select “Always on Display“, and then tap on “Pin to Always on Display“.

The note will be pinned to your S8 or S8 Plus’ Always on Display and you’ll be able to access it with a quick double tap. This can prove extremely useful for reminders, and shopping lists, as you’ll be able to access them without having to unlock your phone.

4. Enable Download Booster for Faster Download Speeds

If you’ve ever used Speedify (it’s awesome), chances are you know how useful it can be to combine bandwidths from multiple networks in order to improve download speeds. Samsung includes a Download Booster feature in the S8 and S8 Plus that effectively does the same thing, except that it uses your WiFi and LTE connections at the same time to increase downloading speed. To enable Download Booster, just follow the steps below:

Note: Using LTE for downloads can quickly rack up your data charges, so make sure you’re on an unlimited plan if you decide to use this feature too often.
  •     Go to “Settings -> Connections -> More Connection Settings“.

  •  Here, simply switch the toggle next to “Download Booster” from its “off” position to “on”.

You will now be able to see clear improvements in the download speeds you’re getting on your phone with Download Booster enabled, as compared to when it was disabled.

 5. Enable Dual Audio for Bluetooth Devices

The S8 and S8 Plus are the first smartphones in the market with support for Bluetooth 5.0, and among it’s various cool features, one that really stands out is the fact that with Bluetooth 5.0, the S8 and S8 Plus can stream music to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. This is just awesome! There may be a slight lag between the two devices, but what matters is that two people can simultaneously enjoy wireless music over Bluetooth now.

To enable Dual Audio for Bluetooth devices in the S8 and S8 Plus, simply head over to “Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth“.
Make sure that Bluetooth is on, and then tap on the three dot menu button. Here tap on “Dual Audio“. You can then enable Dual Audio, and enjoy your music on two Bluetooth devices at the same time.

6. Hide Apps

Hiding apps is not something that everyone uses, but it’s nice to have the feature in case you need to use it. Fortunately, with the S8 and S8 Plus, you will not have to rely on third party app lockers that seem a little shady, or are unreliable. To hide apps on your S8 or S8 Plus smartphone, just follow the steps given below:
  •     Swipe up from the home screen to open the App Drawer, and then tap on the three dot menu button on the top right. Here, tap on “Settings”

Here, tap on “Hide Apps“. You can then simply select the apps you wish to hide, and tap on “Apply”.

 7. Capture Snippets or GIFs

Another great feature that the S8 and S8 Plus come with is the smart select tools in the edge panels. With these tools you can capture a rectangular or elliptical portion of the screen. All that is cool, but what’s really amazing, is the Animation tool. If you’re watching a video on your S8, and there’s a scene you want to make a GIF out of, you can simply swipe to the Smart Select Edge Panel, and tap on the “Animation” tool.

Then, you can place it over the playing video and record it. The S8 will convert the recording into a GIF that you can then share with your friends, or send out as a tweet.

8. Remove Icon Frames

The S8 and S8 Plus both use squircle icons all over the user interface. This means that apps that do not have squircle icons, get their icons resized and fit into white squircles to match the theme of the rest of the phone. While this does look uniform, it tends to make the icons look bad. So, if you want your phone to ignore squircle icons, and use all the normal icons instead.

To do this, you can simply head on over to Settings -> Display -> Icon Frames.
Here, select “icons only“, and tap on “Done”. The S8 will switch over from using squircle icons with whiteframes to normal app icons instead.

9. Secure Folder

Secure Folder is a new feature that Samsung added to the S8 and S8 Plus. With Secure Folder, you can keep your personal data for compatible apps, safe inside a secure folder that can only be accessed by entering the PIN, scanning your fingerprint, or through the iris scanner. This is awesome because for the same app, you can basically create two separate spaces, one that anyone with access to your phone can see, and another inside the Secure Folder. So, if you take pictures with the camera app inside the secure folder, they will be saved to the Gallery, but won’t be visible outside the secure folder.

Also, if you have pictures in your gallery that you want to secure, you can move them from the regular gallery to the one inside the Secure Folder, effectively protecting them from unauthorised access.

10. Edit Edge Panels and Add More

The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus come with curved screens, and there is no flat screen option left anymore. So, even if you didn’t like the curved screen design, and you haven’t been a user of edge panels, it’s high time that you begin to embrace it. Edge panels are actually quite useful, provided you set them up right. To edit Edge Panels, and to add more panels, you can follow the steps below:

Go to Settings -> Display -> Edge Screen. Here, tap on “Edge panels“.
In the screen that opens, you can easily enable or disable the pre-loaded Edge panels that come with the S8 and S8 Plus. Also, if you want to find out some more cool Edge panels, you can do so by simply tapping on the “Download” button on the top right.
